Returns & Exchanges Policy

We know that buying online can be a delight or a disappointment. For your peace of mind, we are happy to offer an exchange or refund to the value of the purchased goods subject to the following conditions;

General Return Conditions

  • We receive the item back within 30 working days in original, sellable condition
  • Item is clean, unworn, and all original tags attached
  • Include proof of purchase, order or reference number, and if possible, a copy of the email correspondents
  • Include a prepaid bag in the post for items you wish to exchange
  • You shoulder the full cost of shipping
  • Refund, if applicable, is made thru the original form of payment within seven working days

NOTE: For change of mind purchases, the customer can return the product for a full refund. However, the shipping and handling fee incurred in the process will be deducted. Return Postage should also be shouldered by the customer.

How to Return Items

  • Login to your account and select your order and product, then click on "return item" to send a return request
  • Or you inform us by email (returns@thesheepskinfactory.co.nz), the reason behind the return or exchange

International Orders

Customs Duties and Taxes

  • All customs duties, taxes, and fees are the customer's responsibility
  • These charges are determined by your country's customs regulations
  • Please check with your local customs office before purchasing if unsure

Returns Due to Unpaid Customs Fees

  • Shipping fees will not be refunded if items are returned due to unpaid customs charges
  • Customers must settle all customs fees before parcel return

Faulty Items

If item purchased is faulty, we will provide a remedy as required by the Consumers Guarantees Act.

  • Email us photos to enable us to assess the fault
  • If the product is deemed faulty, we have the right to choose the best remedy- repair, replace, or refund
  • We will also shoulder the postage costs incurred in the process

Product Guarantee

All sheepskin and woollen products are warranted to the original owner for one year against defective materials and workmanship. If faulty merchandise is purchased, we'll repair the product without charge or replace it at our discretion. This though does not extend to problems that may arise from damage caused by accident (e.g. Spilling wine on article), improper care (e.g. Article soaking in water for too long), negligence (e.g. Pets chewing on article), normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colours and materials over extended time or use.

Slight dye transfer may occur with darker coloured sheepskin during the first few wears. Lighter coloured ones may pick up inks from clothing with which it has come in contact with. Exposing the sheepskin in the sun for too long may also cause some discolouration. This is not covered under the manufacturer's limited warranty.

Because sheepskin, wool, and possum fur are all natural products, there may be some irregularities and variations in colour, texture, fit, and wear. These traits are characteristics of fine natural products and add beauty to the character of our footwear, apparel, and rugs.

These irregularities and variations are not covered under the manufacturer's limited warranty.

Policy Modification

We reserve the right to modify, update, or change our returns, refund, and exchange policy at any time without prior notice.
